Employer Description
We provide comprehensive engineering services to all manufacturing and industrial sectors, both locally, nationally and internationally.
Our core service is machine moving and machinery installation. This can range from single machines being moved within an existing site to large scale factory and production lines being moved from one location to another, including moving countries.
Description of Vacancy
Looking for a motivated individual interested in a career opportunity with the world’s leading machine moving and installation company.
The role is designed to develop a career in IT and give the successful person the necessary skills to progress within the business.
Answering calls and logging tickets
Resolving basic software/hardware issues
Assisting the IT Manager with ordering new hardware/software
Assisting with desk moves
Providing telephone cover at the Head Office
Assisting with the development and implementation of new processes and ways of working to increase efficiency.
Hours
Monday - Friday
9am - 5pm
30 minutes for lunch

IT literate - Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications Required
Essential
Good level of education (3x GCSEs including Level C in English or maths)

Training provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
