Intern - Software Development

CME is looking for undergraduates on computing-related courses with an interest in learning and an ability to get things done. They will be involved in active software development projects on real trading systems working alongside experienced software engineering practitioners. All roles will include aspects of Development, Quality Assurance and Operations/DevOps.

Example software development projects might be:
*Small enhancements to the current trading applications.
*Testing tools that will enhance the productivity of the team.
*Additional administration tools to improve the ability of the teams to control and configure the system.
*Business development reports or web-pages to help analyse the current user community.

We do full stack development, from servers handling millions of market events per second to web-based clients. We develop mostly in C# on Windows platforms, using .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server, Tibco FTL (point-to-point and multicast networking), Kafka, Redis, Autofac, Docker, Kubernetes, IIS, Kestrel and HTML5. We use Jira, Confluence, TeamCity, Stash and Git among other tools. Any experience with any of these tools, technologies or languages - or similar ones - would be an advantage. However the most important things we are looking for is an aptitude for problem solving and a passion for technology.

We offer a competitive compensation package. In addition, interns are eligible for CME Group employee benefits including pension contributions, private medical healthcare and gym subsidy.

Internships last approximately one academic year and are based in the city of London.

Application closing date: Friday 8th March 2019
