Employer Description

ABC Business Systems supplies office printer MFD’S and print production equipment.

With over 25 years experience within the industry we are able to offer one of Kent’s leading photocopier and printer servicing and repair service. We have a team of specially trained operatives who are able to repair and service all brands and models of photocopiers & printers.

 

Vacancy Description

Exciting opportunity awaits in the service industry working with Office MFD’S. The lucky Candidate will be trained to unpack set up and install new equipment also to maintain and service existing equipment and will also learn to network and trouble shoot problems.

Candidate will be required to unpack set up and install machines, Manual lifting will be required, Servicing and fixing faults on customer machines on site, Delivering of supplies and Machines to new and existing clients.

Networking and fixing IT issues will be an additional requirement, but additional training will be given for this.

Maintaining a clean working environment in the workshop and offices.

Full Manufacturer training will be provided.

 

Wage

£3.70 hour

 

Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 17.00pm, 37.5 hours a week paid, 1 hour lunch break each day.

 

Skills Required

Candidate would ideally have a full driving licence, good IT skills, physically fit as lifting is involved, Good communication skills and organisation skills, works well in a team but also can work well on their own.

 

Personal Qualities

Friendly, reliable, good social skills, polite, eager to learn.

 

Qualifications Required

A-C grades in Maths, English,

IT/computer qualification.

 

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
