Finance Assistant Apprentice
My manufacturing client (engineering) are looking for a Finance Assistant Apprentice on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will provide critical support to Senior Account Administrators. You will be put on a 15-18-month training programme - a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in Finance!
Finance Assistant Apprentice
Duties:
* Support with invoice inputs
* Support the Fixed Asset ledger and subsequent depreciation
* Maintain prepayment & accruals schedules to support the Management Accountant
* Vendor statement reconciliation and subsequent query analysis
* Administration tasks (but not limited to) invoices scanning & filing
* Process journals for the general ledger, as requested by the Management Accountant
* Invoice analysis of spend and report findings
* Assist with time and attendance maintenance for payroll production
* Other payroll duties as deemed to be required
* Other supporting duties to allow flexibility within a busy Finance function

* An excellent eye for accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage workload independently to meet the monthly deadlines
* Good communication skills for working with others in the business
* You will not be afraid to ask questions

Key Qualifications:
* GCSE's (with minimum A or B in Maths and English) along with a minimum of either a relevant or strong A Level (or equivalent) and/or relevant work experience.
MS Office and general IT user experience
