Description of Vacancy

This is an exciting opportunity to join the solar power revolution as an Apprentice Rest Customer Consultant.

In this role, you will play an important part in supporting customers through the transition into using renewable energy in their homes. This will include dealing with any enquiries, and promoting the message within the community.

No previous experience is necessary as you will receive all the training you need on the job through a dedicated programme designed by Rest UK which will complement the training you will receive from KT&A.  There is real scope to secure a permanent role at the company once you have completed your apprenticeship.

Within this role you will have great exposure to all areas of a new and ambitious business that has its customers at the heart of everything it does.

Tasks will include the following:

All areas of customer service, including taking and booking in appointments, handling customer enquiries, and solving problems.

Assisting with sales by helping to generate leads, including through supervised canvassing out in the community

Marketing the company through a range of platforms and engaging with future customers.You will also have an opportunity to develop an understanding of the essentials of business management, so that you can gain experience which will help you progress.

 

Wage 

From £148 per week with potential increase as you develop in your role, plus commission.

 

Hours

40 working hours per week with potential for more dependent on age and experience.  Shifts will typically be Monday to Friday 09:30 – 18:30 but you will also occasionally be asked to work at weekends, to be discussed at interview.

 

Skills Required

The successful applicant should have good communication skills, both in writing, face to face, and over the telephone. Basic computer skills are also essential.

 

Personal Qualities

The successful applicant should have be punctual, reliable, and a good team player.

 

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

 

Important Information

Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
