Employer Description
This role is based within Parking & Amenities team, in the Gravesham Borough Council.

Administration of PCN’s after they have been issued. Issuing Permits to Gravesham residents and workers. All admin relating to Parking Services.


Description of Vacancy
Administrative and clerical support to Parking Services.

Opening and logging correspondence received via post and email.

Organising procurement requirements for printing, photocopying and stationary for the department.

To make and receive telephone calls.

To research, prepare, print, photocopy and distribute documents.

Create and maintain paper based and computerised administrative records including work processing and computer services to the department.

Organise storage and retrieval of documents and equipment in the departments filing system.

Assist with returns and other forms requesting information from internal and external contacts.

Assist with the preparation and completion of surveys.

To undertake any other administration duties as required.

£136.90 per week

Ability to carry out basic officer skills
Ability to follow set procedures and routines


Personal Qualities
Good telephone manner.
Good team player
Ability to carry out basic Office skills;
Good IT Skills,
Ability to follow set procedures and routines.
Experience of using Microsoft Office
An awareness of good customer service.


Qualifications Required
Willing to work to a NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.
5 GCSE’s or equivalent A-C grade.


Training Provided
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Additional Details
As of 1st April 2018, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
