DPC Accountants Ltd are looking for a enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is keen to join their dynamic team as an ATT Tax Apprentice.

Excellent opportunity for a tax Apprentice required to work in the personal tax department.

The role will involve looking after a number of personal tax client's affairs, including:

  • Requesting information
  • Preparing tax returns
  • Computation of tax position
  • Corresponding with clients and HMRC as and when required.

The role may also involve payroll preparation and processing in our payroll bureau at busy periods.

Requirements and prospects Desired skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Polite and pleasant manner.
  • Well presented.
  • Experience of word and excel.
Personal qualities
  • The ideal person will be hardworking and keen to learn, they will have an excellent attention to detail and not be afraid to ask questions.
  • You may have some office experience but not essential
  • Have good computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
  • Be an excellent communicator.
Qualifications required
  • Good GCSE's or equivalent including English and Maths grades A-C as a minimum.
  • At least 2 A level's or equivalent or studying towards.
Future prospects We will provide on the job training in personal tax and payroll. The right candidate can then develop to become a strong member of the tax department.

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
