Personal qualities
Desired qualifications
You will need to have GCSE maths and English at grade C/grade 4 or above. You will also need to have qualifications at Level 3 (A-level/BTEC) or equivalent. You will need the equivalent of 104 UCAS points (BCC) or relevant work experience that we can accredit.
Future prospects
Working in conjunction with our existing quantity surveyors the successful candidate will progress through to Assistant Quantity Surveyor during their apprenticeship and then on completion of the apprenticeship will have progressed to Quantity Surveyor.
- To learn and acquire the skills necessary to become a competent quantity surveyor
Key responsibilities:
- To have read, understood and comply with the Company Policies & Procedures at all times
- Be punctual and keep employer advised of absences
- Keep accurate training records / diary
- Attend approved college courses
- Support the quantity surveyor's across various sites to undertake their duties
- Perform reconciliations of retentions and sub-contractor accounts on a periodic basis
- Assist with the preparation of development cash flows and profit forecasts
- Assist with the creation of tender documents and analysing of tender return documents
