We have a great opportunity to join us as a Rating apprentice within the Insurance side of our business. You will work within the eRate team and work closely with the Pricing team, using agile project techniques where possible.

This is a fantastic way to learn 'on the job' in a supportive and encouraging environment whilst earning a qualification at the same time. In this role you will be responsible for the technical design of the rating solution, including the creation and execution of a robust test plan to deliver high quality rating changes.

***Please note that our office is relocating to Weybridge in April 2019, therefore this position will be based in Weybridge***

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Support building technical solutions to requirements driven by Pricing and Underwriting
  • Test these changes with either automated tools or manual testing
  • Support end to end development, distribution and quality of eRate models and related IT touch-points in order to deliver "eRate change"
  • Be aware of day to day technical decisions regarding the model strategy and the general interaction of eRate with our IT platform
  • Contribute to the knowledge base of eRate and its interlinking processes and ensure this information is shared and transferred across the team
  • Build a strong network of relationships across the business, in order to deliver accurate and timely pricing changes, small change, defect fixes projects and aggregator mappings
  • Ensure all of our insurance complies with regulation set out by the appropriate governing bodies.

An ability to code in HTML, C#, CSS or SQL would be advantageous

  • A passion and willingness to learn!


Desired qualifications

You will need to have, or be expected to achieve 5 GCSE's at Grade 4/C or above to include Maths and English or equivalents
