What you will do in your working day

No two days are the same when working as a Police Officer Apprentice.

One day you might be patrolling the streets, the next gathering information as part of a major investigation and another participating in lectures and seminars at the University of Chester.

For more information on the role of a Police Officer visit our website https://www.cheshire.police.uk/jobs/police-constables-pcs/

The training you will be getting
  • BA Hons Professional Policing Practice.
  • 25 week initial training period to include induction and personal safety training.
  • Thereafter a blend of classroom sessions, coaching and mentoring, practical training and the most valuable learning tool of all, actually doing the job!

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Once you have completed the apprenticeship and successfully passed your probationary period you will have the opportunity to progress through the ranks and/or specialise in an area of policing that interests you most, dependent on the vacancies available in the force at the time.
