The University is currently going through a period of ambitious change and redevelopment, in line with the 2015-2022 strategy, and the Programmes and Projects Team within IT Services is growing to meet the ambitions of the University. As a result, this is an exciting time to join a team that is tasked with delivering a wide range of high-profile strategic projects.

KEY DUTIES:
  • Provide project management support relating to programmes and projects as required under the supervision of Programme and Project Managers.
  • Manage projects of increasing scope and complexity as progress through the apprenticeship is achieved.
  • Attend and complete the project management apprenticeship training programme and to apply the learning to the existing practices in the Programme and Projects Team to further improve the way projects are delivered under the framework.
  • Proactively provide best practice advice, guidance and standards for programme and project management to members of the Programme and Projects Team.

Desired qualifications

To be an IT Project Officer Apprentice you will need to be a tech enthusiast with at least 5 GCSEs (A* - C) including Maths and English and hold a minimum of 120 UCAS points or equivalent.
