Supply Chain Management Degree Apprenticeship
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP
Make sure our engines, components and parts are where they need to be, when they need to be, anywhere in the world.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Enthusiasm for technology. Fast learner and motivated. Team skills
Beyond your qualifications, we'll expect to see evidence that you're genuinely interested in developing a career in supply chain management.
Articulate, numerate, driven and a fast learner, you’ll be good at engaging people. We'll also want to talk to you about times where you’ve shown real motivation, so be ready to tell us about your achievements outside of education.
Despite the size of our company, we all enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. So, we'll be interested in how you've worked well in a group. That could be at school, with your family, in a sports team, at work, in voluntary organisations, such as the Guides, Scouts or Cadets, or as part of religious or community activities. You'll also need to be good at organising your time, as you'll need to make time for studying, as well as getting on and doing your job.
WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING:
The importance of our global supply chain cannot be overstated. Neither can the part played in our business by Supply Chain Management. This team is responsible for making sure supplies, components, parts and products are where they need to be, when they need to be there, right around the world.
Spend four years learning from experts as part of our Degree Apprenticeship scheme and, as well as getting invaluable real-world experience, you'll study for university-level qualifications. You can expect on-the-job training, classroom learning and the kind of practical experience you simply can't get on a university campus. Real work, earning real money, with real career prospects delivering products you can be immensely proud of.
With our support, you'll study part-time for a BA (Hons) degree in Management and Leadership, at a range of Universities across the UK. And, once you complete your Degree Apprenticeship, you could have the opportunity to develop your career within the Supply Chain function.
Where next, once your apprenticeship is finished?
Firstly you will most likely move straight into managing the planning and day-to-day delivery of a broad portfolio of highly complex engine components as a Material Resource Planning Controller. Later on in your career, you could be accountable for supporting the supply chain design and deployment of a new manufacturing facility. There's even more potential further down the line for an international assignment in one of our global facilities, managing a team of logistics professionals as a Production Supply Chain Manager.
The opportunities are there for a really fulfilling career in Supply Chain Management.
We open for applications: 4th October 2017 – 2nd March 2018.
We assess candidates throughout the year, so you may find there is some time between submitting an application and your assessment centre. These will be run between November 2017 and April 2018.
