    Personal qualities

    Be practically minded and be able to display an aptitude for Engineering and possess a strong sense of responsibility, as well as being a good team player. Must be able to think independently, be imaginative and a team player.

    Desired qualifications
    • Six GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above including Maths, Science (preferably Physics) and English Language.
    • Level 3 Engineering or equivalent (ideally 2 merits and a pass as a minimum).
    Future prospects It is intended that the apprenticeship would then lead on to a degree leading to an accredited professional Engineering Position. Things to consider The factory is located on the outskirts of Trowbridge and the candidate must make their own way to work and to Wiltshire College in Chippenham for the day release element of the apprenticeship. Therefore a driving licence is desirable. A select number of candidates will be asked to attend at least 3 work experience days over 3 weeks to ascertain if they are suitable for the position and the position is suitable for them before being employed. The hourly rate stated is the initial starting rate and incremental pay increases may be awarded based on performance.
