Teaching Apprenticeship Programme are looking for talented STEM or shortage subject graduates who are seeking a salaried route to gaining QTS in and around London for a January start. If you are a graduate, or are about to be a graduate, in one of the following areas then we are keen to hear from you:

Chemistry

Computing/Computer Science

Design Technology

English

Geography

Mathematics

Physics

Religious Education

Due the high volume of applications and limited number of places, only those applicants who have degrees in these subject areas will considered. Please see the entry criteria for further information.

Through TAP you will:

The opportunity to work in your placement school on a paid basis before the programme starts
The chance to gain QTS after 12 months in a paid position with no fees for your training
Earnings up to GBP26,295

We are looking for trainees that are passionate about teaching and learning, excited about their subject area and are eager to take on the challenge of the Teacher Apprenticeship programme.

Personal Qualities

The sorts of personal qualities we are looking for are;

An ability to communicate with enthusiasm and relate to young people in the classroom
Passion for your subject
Desire and drive for delivering a first-class education to all students
An ability to reflect on any prior experiences of working with children and young people in schools or other settings

Entry Criteria

All candidates must have at least a C grade (or equivalent) for GCSE maths and English
You must have a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, preference will be given to those with higher grades
For the primary roles, only candidates with a minimum of a 2:1 will be considered, 1st class applicants will take priority
A degree in one of the areas outlined above or highly related field (Not relevant for the primary role)
You must be a British citizen OR a citizen of an EU member state, have right to work in the UK and have been residing in the UK for the past 3 years
Experience of being in the classroom or working in an educational setting would be preferential but is not a prerequisite
