BAE Systems 'Air' is already recognised as an innovative and world class aircraft design, development and manufacturing organisation. It is now developing its portfolio to include through life support services to our customers' availability of their aircraft, ensuring safety and continual improvement is at the heart of everything we deliver. At the centre of this strategy is the Aircraft Maintenance & Support (AM&S) Function delivering aircraft services, safely, efficiently and effectively.

As an Aircraft Maintenance & Support graduate or undergraduate, you will be part of a team working to ensure the continuing airworthiness of our customers' aircraft. This could include working with customers to deliver operational excellence or working with the business to ensure we have the right people, tools and skills in the right places at the right time.

Graduates joining the Aircraft Maintenance & Support Function will be offered a number of challenging placements covering a range of business critical activities, operational delivery and regulatory environments. There are opportunities to work on our customer air bases, learning how our customers' operate to ensure aircraft availability to deliver military effect.

You will also work within the regulation team to understand how we manage our Quality System to review the continuing airworthiness of aircraft, maintenance of aircraft and to provide training and licencing for maintenance personnel.

Finally you will have the opportunity to work within Supply Chain, Fleet Planning, Resource Capability and much more.

Rewards and benefits

You can make a real impact during your internship. And you can expect real rewards package too over the 12 weeks, with 6.5 days' holiday a potential fast track to our graduate schemes, subject to performance and availability.
  • GBP16,800 p/a pro rata,
  • GBP1400 per month for Consulting, Engineering and Project Management roles in Cyber Security.

What you'll need
  • To join our Business or Engineering summer internship schemes you must be on course for at least a 2:2 Bachelor's degree in a related subject.
  • For finance, you must be on course for at least a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in a related subject and also have 112 UCAS points (as per the 2017 UCAS tariff) or equivalent, excluding General Studies.
  • For summer internship roles in Cyber Security you must be on course for at least a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths subject and also have 128 UCAS points (as per the 2017 UCAS tariff) or equivalent, excluding General Studies.
  • You will also need to be available for the full 12 weeks.
