Dorcan Recreation Complex in Swindon, Wiltshire is looking for a Multi-skilled Sport & Recreation Apprentice. If you love sport, fitness and exercise, this apprenticeship could help you build a career out of your passion.

This is a varied 12-15 month full time apprenticeship where you'll earn as you learn and start your career with GLL. You'll be trained in a variety of sports and recreation activities to not only support a busy public leisure centre but also to give you a wide-ranging skillset that will help you build a long-term and interesting career. During this apprenticeship, you'll work towards your NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service Practitioner Standard as well gaining qualifications to work as a Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher, Gymnastics Coach and in general leisure operations.

You'll need to:

  • Be a strong swimmer - you'll have to do a timed swim test before you start
  • Be friendly - you'll be helping lots of our customers
  • Be hard-working - our leisure centres open weekends and early mornings (don't worry, you won't have to do them all the time!)
  • Enjoy learning - we'll train you to get a range of different qualifications
