Placements

Then, it's into a great five-year programme, which will give you three year-long placements followed by a two-year placement, each being within a different part of our business and in a different geographical location. This will ensure you gain a breadth of experience across our many sites, projects and cultures, all of which will contribute to your portfolio of skills and experience.

Training

In the first three years, your training will be focused on helping you attain your CIMA qualification. Our comprehensive CIMA study package includes support worth over GBP15,000 and over 14 weeks' of study leave.

Mentor

You'll be allocated a corporate mentor who'll be there with all sorts of advice and guidance regarding your career.

Conference and Workshops

You'll attend workshops aimed at developing your interpersonal skills and providing you with an opportunity to network with other finance professionals. Enabling you to share knowledge as you go along is extremely important to us. So, you'll be attending our annual Finance Leaders Development Conference as well as your individual year group workshops.

Health, Wellbeing and Social Activities

Our Employee Assistance Programme is a health and wellbeing benefit, offering immediate access to 24hr telephone counselling, legal and information services at no cost to our employees. From a social side of things, you could get involved in our charity and team events such as the 3 Peaks Challenge, or sign up for one of our many sports and social activities that take place across our sites.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In 2014, we contributed over GBP11.3m globally through company donations and sponsorships, employee fundraising, payroll giving and volunteering time and skills. You too could get involved and help us make a difference to many important causes around the world.

Other Activities

You'll also get the chance to attend university careers fairs and presentations. And once you have graduated from the scheme you will have the opportunity to give back to the scheme by becoming a Mentor to new starters on the FLDP.

All in all, you'll find it a programme packed with benefits and opportunities.

Apply your talent where it counts.

Rewards and benefits

We expect great things of our FLDP graduates. In return, you can expect a generous salary with a comprehensive benefits and pension package, including flexible leave arrangements with 25 days' holiday, senior mentoring, and product and service discounts.
  • Starting salary of GBP30,000 with regular reviews
  • GBP2,000 welcome payment
  • Advance loan option (up to 20% of starting salary)
  • Relocation package to support your placement rotations
  • CIMA support package worth GBP15,000 with 14 weeks study leave

What you'll need

To join us on the FLDP you must have a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in any subject and 112 UCAS points (new tariff) or equivalent (excluding General Studies).

You will need to show flexibility and resilience and have exceptional practical and analytical skills to thrive on the programme, and take responsibility for your own progression.

Finance is a very hands-on profession that will see you working in demanding industrial environments, so it's vital that you have the tact, confidence and tenacity to challenge accepted practices and robustly manage cost savings at ground level.

You must also be willing to move to new locations annually to maximise your development on the programme
