Aerospace Engineer Degree Apprenticeship - 2017 start
About the scheme
An exciting opportunity introduced in 2015 was the Aerospace Degree Apprenticeships for our Engineering function. The Scheme provides a combination of tailored industrial placements within our MAI businesses, with the opportunity to study for a Foundation Degree on a part time basis at Blackpool and the Fylde College, and the potential to continue onto an Honours Degree programme, dependant on individual performance and business needs.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship you can expect to be employed in roles such as Flight Systems Engineer, Mission Systems Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer, Support Engineer and Airframe Specialist.
Working towards both practical and academic targets, this competency based scheme takes up to 5 years to complete building on your technical ability, knowledge and transferrable skills such as communication, team work, problem solving and critical-thinking.
As an Engineering Degree Apprentice you will become highly trained and closely mentored within a particular discipline. This ensures that we deliver the right engineers to the right discipline with exactly the right match of skills and knowledge to work within our technical environment.
From day one you will be earning a competitive salary with increases related to performance against objectives and behaviours.
You will be joining our team of highly skilled and dedicated employees based primarily at our Warton or Samlesbury sites in Lancashire. Our Support & Customer Training discipline requires engineers to work at our customers’ sites so you could find yourself working at sites both in the UK and worldwide.
