Anderson Green Ltd is a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy and we currently have an excellent opportunity for the right candidate, to join our Engineering Team as a Mechanical Design Apprentice.

The Role

The successful candidate will work alongside our Mechanical design engineers as part of a multi discipline building services design consultancy producing detailed, complex and sustainable building services designs in both a 2D and 3D environment.

Duties will include:

  • Designing, sizing and selecting mechanical systems using various calculation software packages.
  • Implementing sustainable technologies into the mechanical design.
  • Production of three-dimensional models, drawings, specifications and reports.
  • Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • Using industry design guides and Building Regulations.

Preferred skills, experience & qualifications:

  • A positive and highly motivated attitude.
  • A grade 4 or above (grade A-C) in Maths, English and a science or design subject.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, predominately Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to use design software, Hevacomp, Revit, AutoCAD.

Training and Development:

  • Training will be provided ‘in house’ supported by self-directed study and by attending college/university one day per week, to studying on a recognised pathway. HNC/D and Degree or equivalent.
