Our apprenticeships are a fantastic place to begin your career in your chosen discipline. Being an apprentice at Arcadis offers you an exciting opportunity to jump straight into the professional world and earn a living whilst also studying for professional qualifications. As an Apprentice you will play an active part in driving your career development and will be exposed to a variety of projects across the business. Technical experience is key in our sector, which is why we will provide you with a clear framework to work towards chartership.

You’ll be given the opportunity to immerse yourself in life at Arcadis, whilst transforming your world and the world around you. You’ll be part of a supportive Early Careers community and will work alongside skilled professionals. You’ll benefit from structured on-the-job training, mentoring, plus funding and support for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the assistance you need to develop and succeed.   Depending on your apprenticeship, you will attend college/university on a block or day release basis.

Qualifications & Experience

 

 

Level 4 Apprenticeship Acoustics Technician

Our Acoustics team is involved in some of the UK’s most complex and stimulating projects that are both diverse and technically demanding including Lower Thames Crossing, Barking Riverside Station, High Speed 2 and others; we have also very recently been instrumental in the support services to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Central London. As an Acoustic Technician, you will assist the team in the delivery of project related tasks to meet budget, timeframe and quality targets, and will be able to learn new technical skills focusing on innovation, sustainability, and digital solutions.

  • This is a 2 - 3 year programme
  • Minimum requirements – you will need 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at level 4 – 9 (Previously A-C) or equivalent PLUS 2 A levels at A-C this must include Maths and ideally Physics / Science subject or BTEC National diploma (MPP)

You will:

  • Be a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years prior to starting the course and have the right to work in the UK
  • 18 (Level 6) years old and have left full time education when the apprenticeship starts
  • Be able to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Be a team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be Innovative
  • Be resilient and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Be analytical with good sense for numbers and digital skills
