Job Description:

You will be the main point of contact for finance queries, supporting the department head with:

• Processing purchase invoices, paying suppliers and emailing supplier remittances

• Liaising with fee-earners on invoicing, raising client invoices and sending invoices to clients

• Supporting the accounts team with credit control administration, including communication and resolving

queries

• Processing expense claims and credit card receipts

• Processing bank transactions and reconciliations

• Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly management accounts

• General office administration tasks such as filing, scanning, archiving, meeting and greeting clients and

contacts

• Maintaining accurate financial records

This list is not exhaustive and there will be other tasks from time to time, we expect the role to evolve as the firm

grows.

 

 

Training Provided:

As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the full AAT Level 3 qualification.

 

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Qualification Requirements:

GCSE Maths and English included plus A Levels

Confidence to work under own initiative and as part of a team

A professional manner

We are looking for someone with:

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Excellent numeracy skills

• Excellent organisation and prioritising skills

• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

• You will have an ability to learn quickly, be open to change and have an eagerness to take on new

challenges

 

• Previous experience as Accounts/Finance Assistant preferred

• IT: Experience using Microsoft Office and other accounting programmes

• AAT Level 2 qualification, or equivalent

• Previous experience of working in a law firm is desirable
