About the role
The BAE Systems Finance HA Trainee scheme aims to develop A-level or equivalent qualified individuals into Chartered Management Accountants with a broad understanding of all aspects of finance and how these fit into the wider business organisation.
About the scheme
The scheme lasts for five years, during which you will have placements in many different areas of finance lasting from 6-12months. This scheme would particularly suit an individual who is keen to get involved with all aspects of finance, who enjoys problem solving and who is also committed to furthering their career through a five year external study programme.

What you’ll need
To apply for the Finance HA Trainee Scheme, you’ll require 300 UCAS points gained from a maximum of 3 A-Level qualifications or equivalent, preferably including Mathematics and/or a business related subject. Qualifications aside, excellent teamwork, organisation and communication skills are essential to the role as you would be expected to liaise with all levels within the business and deal with external customers as required.
Applicants will be expected to be medically fit as deemed necessary to perform the role, be eligible to work in the UK and be able to successfully achieve security clearance. The focus of the Finance HA Trainee Scheme is on the development of the individual. You will be fully funded by the company to study part time to achieve your AAT qualifications through to TOPCIMA, exiting the scheme as a fully Chartered Management Accountant. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from colleagues who are experts in their field, and gain insights that can only come from real world experience. You will also be expected to take part in ‘Stretch Assignments’ these are opportunities to be involved in a variety of charitable and promotional projects to develop skills in addition to those that can be learned through college\placements.
