What will the apprentice be doing?
We now seek a new apprentice to join our team and learn the key roles of a quantity surveyor and establish themselves within this exciting and diverse industry.
In return for your enthusiasm and willingness to learn we will support you through your apprenticeship degree and offer real life working experiences to reinforce your learning whilst earning.
As an apprentice quantity surveyor you will assist senior members of the team gaining experience in a variety of duties including:
As your experience grows you will be offered opportunities to take on more responsibility with the ultimate aim of running your own projects from inception to completion.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn the profession whilst working on a wide range of projects in London and the south east.

Things to consider
Position is mainly office based so candidate should be located within a reasonable distance from our Worthing Office Benefits include: • Pension (auto-enrolment) • Private Healthcare • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays plus discretionary further Christmas closure (typically 3 days) • Cycle to Work Scheme

As an apprentice quantity surveyor you will assist senior members of the team gaining experience in a variety of duties including:
- Measuring quantities using both traditional methods and computer technology
- Preparation of estimates of construction costs
- Attending meetings with clients and contractors
- Advising on procurement and contractual matters
- Preparing documents for tender purposes and contract
- Completing monthly valuations on site and assessing value of variations
- Undertaking regular financial reporting to clients and advising on costs
- Reviewing and agreeing final accounts with contractors

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 6 - Chartered Surveyor apprenticeship standard.
- While working four days per week with us, you will gain the practical experience of supporting our quantity surveying teams in the delivery of our projects across the many sectors our business works in.
- The one day a week at university will be provided by the University of Portsmouth.You will study for a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree which is accredited by the Royal Institution of CharteredSurveyors (RICS).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Excellent opportunities for further training and progression towards chartered status.
