What will the apprentice be doing?
The purpose of the role is to develop software solutions for projects that are undertaken by the company. This will be under the supervision of senior developers and engineers. The role is designed for students who can develop within the team and learn enterprise level software development techniques. We are looking for the candidate to have a good grounding in software development methods and an eagerness to develop rather than a developer with a specific skillset. You will work with the WAAM3D software team and develop software for the wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) process with the latest research outcomes from Cranfield University. Good candidate is expected to be promoted as an assistant software engineer during/ after the apprentice period.
