Job Details
Imperial War Museums are seeking a HR Apprentice to support a busy generalist HR team. As part of this role you
will gain experience in all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, learning and development,
employee relations, general HR administration and payroll. We are a team of 8 HR and Payroll professionals
supporting roughly 500 staff members of various professions, based over five sites across England.
This role is an entry level HR role which will support the team over various functions as follows:
HR Administration:
- Responding to queries in the HR inbox
- Running reports
- Writing formal letters and contracts
- Digitising HR records
- Filing documents
- General data entry
Recruitment:
- Advertising jobs
- Offering jobs
- Processing new starters
- Carrying out the administration of the recruitment platform
Payroll:
- Adding people to payroll
- Processing leavers
- Managing the iTrent organisation structure Learning and Development
- Collating learning participant lists
- Diary Management
As a HR Support Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the HR Support Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which is aligned with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon completion you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Certificate and you will be able to apply for Membership of CIPD.
The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
Future Prospects:
We are a growing HR team and anticipate future opportunities for the apprentice.
Qualifications Required:
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience of working within HR
5 GCSEs at grade 4 including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
Skills Required:
- Proficient using Microsoft word and excel
- Experience of using Outlook
Personal Qualities:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good attention to detail
