What will the apprentice be doing?
This role is to work with and support the current property surveyors in the Responsive Repairs and Voids teams within the Property Services Directorate. Visiting domestic properties to assess repairs, writing up schedules and specifications, managing contractors on-site, invoicing, technical site visits/ post inspections and customer queries.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will undertake a Construction Site Supervisor, Level 4 apprenticeship, to support your development and chosen career path. Your Training provider, Salford City College will offer a blended learning approach and whilst undertaking your learning programme, your manager will help guide your development and day-to-day work. You will also be assigned a mentor who will provide extra support throughout your role, and you'll be working alongside experienced colleagues to learn practical, work-based skills.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once completed you will be awarded with a Level 4, Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship qualification securing a career pathway within the property surveying.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4/C) Essential
NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent Building surveying/Construction (Grade Pass) Desired
Things to consider
A full UK Driving License is desirable, but not essential.

- Writing up job requests.
- Issuing and managing work to contractors.
- Managing Invoicing and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support Property Servcies Surveyors.
- Monitor progress of repairs with subcontractors updating Open Housing with outcomes of repair jobs.
- Professionally handle queries from THT customers.
- Arranging virtual appointments for surveyors.
- Updating the housing management system.
