Job Details

Big Star are looking to recruit a junior Business Manager to join its team of sixteen. The individual must have a passion for music and entertainment and a desire to pursue a long term career within Accounting.  You will be working in a fast paced and varied environment alongside a team who works hard but also enjoy socialising.

Duties Include:

  • Paying supplier invoices
  • Issuing invoices to customers
  • Input transactions into XERO
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Ensure receivables are collected promptly
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure taxes are paid to HMRC within deadline
  • Record all cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Maintain petty cash Credit Control
  • Assist with payroll
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as and when needed
  • Respond to client requests on a timely basis

Salary Range: £16 000 to £20 000 per annum

Location: London E2 6GH

Duration: Permanent

Training Provided:

  • As an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Accountancy Taxation Professional Apprenticeship at Level 7. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the ACCA, CIMA, CFAB, ICAEW professional qualification.
  • The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum of 2 A Levels at grade C and 6 GCSEs at grade 5 including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.

Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Word/Excel & Outlook

  • Team Player, Excellent and confident communicator, Good organisational skills,
  • Thorough with a keen eye for detail,
  • Dedicated, Committed, Flexible, Punctual, Enthusiastic,
  • Thirst for knowledge,
  • Strong interest in music and entertainment sectors.
