What will the apprentice be doing?

Things to consider
Your main place of work will be in our modern offices on our site shared with our fabrication workshop and large car park. You will be required to attend our construction sites (generally within Oxfordshire) to assist in surveying and take part in on site meetings where company vehicles are used for travel. Already having a driving licence or the intention to obtain a driving licence will be desirable in the future.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Managing Director and Production Coordinator in the fulfilment of contracts from enquiry through to order, production, completion, and final accounts whilst working within the company's Health and Safety, Quality Management and Environmental policies.
- Attend pre contract meetings
- Assist in production planning and materials ordering to ensure projects are delivered on time and with our quality standards
- Client site visits for production, installation, and completion assessments
- Assisting with final accounts
- Written and oral communication with our team of fabricators, our subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Working within and promoting the company's Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies
- Assist with managing our service and costs to maintain client satisfaction and company profitability
- Assist with the review of and creation of risk assessments and method statements
- Ensuring the company operates within its Quality Management and Environmental Policy commitments and carry our monthly internal audits
- Delivering occasional toolbox talks to internal staff and maintain records
- Use of Microsoft Office 365 and other inhouse software programmes for accounting and purchasing requirements
- A requirement to take on additional learning related to the construction industry such as achieving CITB CSCS green card and moving on to SMSTS (CITB Site Managers Course) and various other health and safety courses
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Duration:
- 36 months practical training period, plus 3-6 months for End Point Assessment
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer
- Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week for 3 years)
- Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
- Off the job training will count for at least 20% of an apprentice's time at work
Qualifications included:

- BA (Hons) Business Management Practice
- Level 6 Chartered Manager (Degree) Apprenticeship
End Point Assessment:
- Portfolio based interview
- Project presentation
