Job Details

Business Administrator Apprentices are the hard workers behind the scenes, making sure our processes and projects run smoothly. Working in our Risk & Compliance, Connectivity Engineering & Delivery, or Demand Management & PMO team, you’ll be surrounded by professionals who are willing to help you build a successful career.

 Our Risk & Compliance team are responsible for ensuring our business conducts processes in line with laws and regulations, and professional and international standards. They manage risks in the risk register by working with stakeholders to reduce likelihood and impact to the business.

Our Connectivity Engineering & Delivery team are there to look after all the network and connectivity orders from throughout the business, supporting projects by leading orders through a set process with the administration team to progress them through to completion.

 The Demand Management & PMO team handle demand from the Network Strategy & Engineering Division. They need to work closely with other members of the team to rollout projects across the business, improving and advancing customer interactions. All this is done using specialist management tools.

Build skills for the future

In this apprenticeship, you will take care of a range of queries and projects. By the end of the scheme, you will have gained the experience and skills needed to deal with any project, problem or process. Tasks that you could take on might include:

  • Running localised improvement projects with help from the wider team to assist the Virgin Media team
  • Ordering connectivity products for delivery managers, which will be used to widen and update our existing network
  •  Reviewing processes, alongside partners, to see how they interconnect in order to produce an operating model that ensures our business is risk-free.

Working in a fully flexible team means the majority of your work will be based from home however, you may be required to travel to office locations regularly. What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship?

Your apprenticeship is made up of learning on the job, but also gaining the academic skills to put into practice in your day-to-day job.  As a result, you'll complete the apprenticeship as part of a structured learning programme alongside working in the role. The learning programme is made up of a suite of modules and milestones and you’ll be required to evidence your work against these modules via tasks and assignments. For some apprenticeships, you may also undertake additional technical qualifications, which include studying for, and taking an exam. Once you have completed your modules and milestones, you’ll then move to your End Point Assessment (EPA) which is typically made up of an interview and a project. Once you pass this stage, you will receive your apprenticeship qualification with us.

Requirements: 5 GCSES Level 9-4 including Maths and English, or a Level 2 Apprenticeship or equivalent
Salary: Starting salary of £19,000, with an increase to £22,000 after 12 months. Final salaries can be in the region of £23,000-£25,000 + amazing benefits
