Job Description:
This role will be a mix of home-based and office-based working
3 days in the Portsoken Street office and 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities
You will work on a rotational basis across the different departments within the HR team. Key responsibilities per department will include:
Recruitment
•Deliver effective and efficient recruitment support and administration for vacancies across all BPP business areas, including advertising vacancies and arranging job interviews
•Liaise with hiring managers to ensure correct recruitment documentation is in place in line with BPP policies and procedures
•Liaise with advertisers to place recruitment adverts
•Resolve low level recruitment queries from candidates and managers and escalate complex recruitment issues to the Recruitment Manager
•Maintain accurate records of recruitment advertising costs
•Full use of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) throughout recruitment life cycle, e.g. issuing interview invitations and updating candidate statuses
•Ensuring interview notes are stored securely on file following interviews
HR Operations
•Provide support on the HR mailbox and ensure that queries are acknowledged, responded to, or re-assigned accordingly
•Administer all aspects of the new starter process, ensuring onboarding is dealt with as smoothly as possible and according to internal SLAs, for example:
oCreate and populate new employee records on the HR system
oManage and track all pre-employment checks
oNotify the payroll department of any new starters
•Monitor and support the probation process by advising managers on key dates and ensuring end-of-probation reviews are held; escalate queries and areas of non-compliance.
•Administer aspects of the contractual change process, ensuring all HR systems reflect the relevant changes
•Administer and adhere to the leavers process, ensuring records are closed on the HR system and all paperwork is finalised appropriately
•Provide support on the Absence mailbox and escalate any issues as appropriate. Input absence data and liaise closely with the payroll department
•Issue confirmation, probation, leaver, or transfer letters as appropriate, based upon change requests and update the HR system accordingly
•Maintain HR tracker spreadsheets
•Maintain up-to-date employee records
Talent & Learning
•Provide support on the Talent & Learning mailbox and ensure that queries are acknowledged, responded to, or re-assigned accordingly
•Provide support with reporting on completion of learning and supplying these to required departments
•Tracking and reporting of the PCD/CPD process and dashboard development
•Administering learning on the Hub, enrolling to existing staff and new starters
•Support managing ESS requests
•Support managing talent group cohorts
•Support with creating e-learning and curating relevant learning materials for staff
Reward & Systems
•Monthly benefits administration and managing the day-to-day relationship with our providers
•Manage the administration of our new flexible benefits platform
•Manage the administration of our employee discounts and instant awards platform
•Give clear, concise and timely advice in response to day-to-day reward queries and act as first point of contact with line managers, the HR team and employees
•Manage the Benefits mailbox, working closely with the HR Admin team to co-ordinate responses
•Maintain and manage system administration within ResourceLink
•User administration and identifying and delivering improvements for added user functionality
•Manage the MyView mailbox, working closely with the HR Admin team to co-ordinate responses
Training Provided:
As a HR Support Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the HR Support Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which is aligned with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon completion you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Certificate and you will be able to apply for Membership of CIPD.
The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
Qualification Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 including English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.
