We are looking for an individual who is keen to learn the knowledge and understanding of providing of superb customer experience and team leading.

Experience in the leisure industry is not essential, and we will consider candidates who desire to develop into leaders of the future.

What am I responsible for?

·Ensuring the security of the building and its contents.

·The till floats and adequate charge provision, and if necessary, the cashing up/reconciliatory of the Centres tills.

·Supporting and contributing to the company's mission statement - 'To create active places and healthy people'.

As a Duty Manager you will need to:

·Maintain a high profile `shop floor` presence and a high level of interaction with staff and customers.

·Respond quickly and efficiently to any feedback from staff or customers.

·Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, and Places for People Safe Manual.

·Identify and report maintenance requirements for equipment or premises.

·Ensure the prompt preparation of all activity areas.

·Ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness and site presentation.

·Carry out any general administrative duties that may be required.

·Assist on Reception if required.

·Ensure any accidents to staff or customers are correctly recorded and appropriate First Aid administered.

·Assist customers with any enquiries and conduct tours of the Centre if necessary.

·Supervise the work of all front-line operational staff.

·Assist in the preparation of reports and attend meetings as required.

·Assist with the recruitment and selection of staff as required.

·Assist with any fault of the Centre's Operation as required.

·Assist with the induction's, training and Performance & Development Appraisals of staff as required.

·Carry out any additional duties as required by the line manager.

·Carry out pool testing and back washing arrangement in line with the Technical QMS

·Create an environment that is friendly, welcoming, and supportive of a customer's choice on how, when and where they are active.

·Ensure that outstanding levels of customer service are always adopted.

·Communicate and build rapport with each customer in a unique and relevant way.

At Kings Centre - East Grinstead you will be studying towards your Duty Manager Level 3 apprenticeship over the course of 15 months.
