What will the apprentice be doing?

Through our varied and dynamic finance graduate scheme you will undertake three, twelve month placements in three of our core Finance departments, offering a breadth of experiences.

The three placements include Financial Reporting, Commercial Finance and Analysis where you will gain experience in:
  • Month end reporting.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Profit modelling.
  • Volume and margin analysis.
  • Business partnering.
  • Forecasting.
  • Price management.

This programme offers the perfect opportunity to find out what it's like to work for a national organisation with a multi-disciplinary finance function whilst gaining valuable practical experience and kick-starting your career.

You'll learn about the world of work, enhance your CV and start building important professional networks.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Accounting And Taxation Professional Apprenticeship Level 7.

If you're looking to develop your accountancy skills to lead finance departments or provide management accounting consultancy, CIMA is your ticket. CIMA is split into Certificate, a standalone 'beginner' qualification, and Professional, which is split into three levels: Operational, Management, and Strategic.

The Certificate in Business Accounting is your starting point if you're new to accountancy. You'll learn the fundamentals of business economics, financial accounting, management accounting, and ethical considerations of commercial activity.
Operational teaches you about organisational management, costs and analysis used in production, and financial reporting and taxation.
Management equips you with the skills to perform advanced management accounting and advanced financial reporting tasks.
Strategic develops your leadership and strategic management abilities, and teaches you about risk management and financial strategy.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This is your first step towards becoming a Finance Analyst. We will give you all the tools to get there. From day one, you'll start building the skills and experience for a successful career. In-depth performance coaching will keep your progress on track and you'll have many opportunities to expand your network. We will also help you
gain a professional CIMA qualification.
