Are you a graduate who is looking for an exciting opportunity to support the education of young people at secondary school? If so, the post of Teaching Support Tutor at St Mary's will be of interest to you. You would be working in one of our subject areas, supporting the progress of students through KS3 and KS4 (with a special focus on the highly able) and being a key asset for the department in delivering cover work.

This is an extremely rewarding role and is a fantastic route into the teaching career, if that is something that may be of interest to you.

If you have not worked with young people before - we will provide all the training you need to be effective in the role. The school takes induction for those new to the school, and their continuing professional development very seriously. Please note that safeguarding students of the School is a priority.  All appointments to posts in the School are made through stringent adherence to the requirements of ‘Keeping Children safe in Education’. Hours (36.5 hours over five days a week split as follows):

8:30am - 4:00pm - four days a week

8:30am - 5:30pm – one day a week on the subject meeting day (this day depends on the subject but will be stated to successful applicants on appointment.

Salary: UNQ1 £19,613 (pay award pending 1 September 2022).
