Job description
United Carpets and Beds have a fantastic opportunity for an Apprentice to join their team.
We’re looking for people who would like the chance to join a great company as Apprentices and learn all aspects of our business from warehousing to Sales and grow their career with us.
You’ll be part of a close-knit team helping our diverse customers furnish their homes from first time buyers to families looking for a new bed - no two days are the same!

Responsibilities
- Taking in deliveries
- Putting new rolls onto racks
- Cutting carpets for customer orders
- Answering telephone and general housekeeping duties
- Carrying out a Sales Role when your warehouse duties are completed for the day
Whilst you are employed as an Apprentice Retail Assistant you will work towards achieving a Level 2 Retailer Apprenticeship, delivered by Babcock Training.

Future Prospects
This vacancy is for at least the duration of the Apprenticeship with the possibility of fulltime permanent employment upon the successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.
Skills required
● Ability to lift heavy carpets
● A great communicator who loves to help people
Qualifications required
GCSE in Maths and English preferred but not essential as Functional Skills can be offered along side the apprenticeship.
Personal qualities
● Aged 18 as you will be using knives
● Prepared to work hard and make the most of training
● Friendly, driven, flexible, reliable honest and enthusiastic
