What will the apprentice be doing?
Are you ready to join the greatest force of cyber security? When you join CyberCX, you're joining the greatest force of cyber security professionals. When you're on our team, we invest in your skills, expertise, and ongoing development. We are looking for a group of passionate apprentices to join our Cyber Security and Cyber risk teams in Oxford and in return we will kick start your cyber security career.
Outline of day-to-day duties. Bullet points please.
Security Apprentice
· Learn how to deliver application, network, systems,and infrastructure penetration tests, vulnerability assessments and any other security activities for customers (such as social engineering)
· Prepare high quality reports detailing security issues, making recommendations,and identifying solutions
· Interaction with clients face to face or remotely
Governance, Risk & Compliance Apprentice
· Identify and effectively manage cyber security risk for our customer base
· Conduct research to assist the Governance, Risk & Compliance team to develop cyber security strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to protect our clients and their customers
· Support development and delivery of Governance, Risk & Compliance engagements from end to end
· Support Governance, Risk & Compliance consultants to prepare and present high-quality reports detailing security issues, making recommendations and identifying solutions
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 4 (Higher national certificate)
Typical duration: 24 months

Level 4 qualifications are:
certificate of higher education (CertHE)
higher apprenticeship
higher national certificate (HNC)
level 4 award
level 4 certificate
level 4 diploma
level 4NVQ
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We have a clear competency structure and job families which identify progression routes both upwards (Consultant, Senior Consultant, Principle Consultant) and also side moves into other teams (Security can lead into digital forensic team, compliance can lead into strategy and consulting team). Strong career paths are available, both in the UK and internationally.
Once apprenticeship is completed, we would aim to retain in a permanent role.

Other cyber/digital T level qualification (Grade -) Desired
Things to consider
Transport links are limited, it would need to be someone who could either walk/cycle to the office or can drive/be dropped off. Requirement is to be in the office 4 days per week. We carry out a DBS check for all employees. Additional Skills to consider: Communication (written & verbal), attention to detail, ability to interact with external customers, Microsoft skills, problem solving, IT background preferred for Security apprentices (hack the box, try hack me, capture the flag, coding) process orientated.
