Staffordshire and Shropshire Health Informatics Service (S&SHIS) is a well-established shared IT service, employing over 120 staff, hosted by Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust (MPFT). We support several public sector organisations with over 20,000 users, 14,000 devices over 300 sites across Staffordshire. Following the success of our ongoing IT Apprentice recruitment, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Junior Applications Developer.

We have invested considerable resource in our internal Application Development team to support the design and development of our own purpose-built Service Management Solution (SMT). This solution is used throughout the Service to log, triage and resolve all support requests logged by our Customers and Partners. SMT is also a fundamental element of the Services Resource Management process and is used to ensure all Change and Release Management follows strict Service Processes and Policies.

In addition to SMT, the Team have been responsible for the recent production of a new Business Process Management Solution (fUSION) which is used to support a number of administrative processes within the SSHIS and our wider Customer base. This post will be responsible for the ongoing development / maintenance of both systems' platforms and their functionality, from the design through to their build, test and releaseto customers.

Gaining practical experience and skills, whilst working towards a recognized qualification 'Level 6 - Digital & Technology Solutions Professional' will enable the successful candidate to make a fantastic start to their career in Application/Software Development within the NHS.

If you are educated to A Level standard, have a degree in Computer Science/level 4 or equivalent, are self-motivated, confident, and can demonstrate good customer service skills, then we'd like to hear from you!
