What will the apprentice be doing?
Works as part of a team
Cover all aspects of brewing and packaging
A varied workload so you will gain an overview of everything we do in the brewery.
Tasks will include:
Assisting with brewing and packaging
Cleaning and maintaining brewing and packaging equipment
Preparing orders for despatch
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
This is a Brewer (Level 4) Apprenticeship HNC
Apprentice will carry out training predominately in the brewery.
One day per week will be dedicated to training.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As part of a small team in a modern micro brewery you will cover all aspects of the business. After an initial period getting to know everything we do there will be opportunities to specialise in certain areas. We like to promote from within when opportunities become available. Our very first apprentice did just that and progressed to the role of head brewer. Manchester has a great brewery scene and lots of opportunities for many different roles within brewing.

GCSE or equivalent Maths, English, Science (Grade 5) Desired
Things to consider
Brewing can be a pretty physical job. We work four long days but enjoy 3 day weekends! Teamwork and working with / patience with others is essential.
