We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Business & Administration Apprentice to join our Pharmacy Leadership Team working as a Pharmacy Administrator/PA.

Mid Yorkshire Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to join an Apprenticeship Scheme that provides an initial 12 months programme enabling the development of knowledge, skills and the achievement of a nationally recognised qualification. The position will be mainly based at Pinderfields Hospital but may involve some work at Dewsbury Hospital.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional individual with the confidence and ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team within standard operating procedures. All skills will be developed further as part of the apprenticeship programme.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, together with compliance with all Trust policies and procedures, the successful applicant will have the skills and knowledge required for the vacant position.

You will work as part of the Administration team supporting the Pharmacy Management Group with a variety of administration tasks (including attending regular meetings of over two hours long and producing formal minutes) and acting as a Personal Assistant to the Associate Director of Pharmacy - Patient Services.

This apprenticeship opportunity attracts an initial salary of £16332.75 rising to £20,330 on successful completion of the apprenticeship. All course fees will be paid for by the Trust. The apprentice will achieve a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business & Administration and must also achieve Functional Skills in Maths, English level 1 (if not already achieved).

This is a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship with milestones set.

Applicants must be eligible and willing to undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship and hold GCSE grade 3 to 9 in English Language and Maths or equivalent qualifications (or be working towards).

There is an eligibility criteria for the government funded apprenticeships which requires the applicant to be aged 16+, be a resident in the UK/EU for the last three years. Applicants cannot have achieved a qualification at level 3 or above in the same pathway as this will exempt them from being able to undertake the apprenticeship.
