Job summary

We are currently looking to appoint a Business Admin Apprentice to work in the Den within the Family Care Division.

The successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure are essential requirements together with great attention to detail for ensuring data is recorded accurately onto the patient administration system.

To be successful in this role you will possess a good standard of education, and experience of working with Microsoft computer programmes, for example: Word, Excel, etc. You must have effective communication skills and be adaptable to meet the service needs.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for providing a friendly and personal checking in of patients and their families/carers, and managing their expectations at busy times.

Provide administrative support to the Admin teams within their speciality.

Reconciliating clinics within timescales.

Demonstrate a flexible approach to Departmental duties where appropriate.

Be proactive in escalating any concerns of any kind to Line Management.

The main emphasis of this role is to provide a friendly and personal experience for patients and their families/carers. For example: provide a comprehensive reception service to the Den.

Duties will include front of house, face to face receptionist service to all patients and visitors, maintaining patient notes, filing, and ensuring that accuracy and confidentiality is maintained.
