Job Details

Join us on our Community Care Technician Apprenticeship and make a difference in your community through fire and safety products. Following company processes, meeting environmental, health and safety standards, and ensuring client satisfaction, you will  join the teams that install and maintain our products and services. With all the skills you’ll gain from this programme, you could be in the perfect position to work towards a Community Care Engineer role!

While on this apprenticeship, you will work towards a Level 3 Fire Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship. We will release you from work for 1 week every 6 weeks to ensure you stay on top of your studying. These sessions may be based away from home, which would include overnight stays. Where this is the case, we will cover all accommodation costs to ensure there is no cost to you.

What your day will look like...

As an apprentice, you’ll be responsible for providing first line support to our customers when required to do so. From initial survey to installation and customer handover, you’ll see the process through from start to end. Tasks you may take on include:

·         Installation of new systems as well as update and modification of existing client installations.

·         Carrying out maintenance on Warden/Nurse Access Control and Intercom systems following company processed, engineer instructions and system requirements

·         Ensuring the right documentation is accurately completed, including timesheets, service reports and expense claims

·         Meeting client expectations at all times, finishing your projects to high standards

The type of person we’re looking for...

You’ll regularly be working with and around the community, so it’s important that you can communicate effectively, while showing empathy and compassion. We’re keen to meet positive individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference and can keep calm in constantly evolving environments. Candidates should also have a minimum of GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).  A full driving licence is also desirable as you may be required to travel regularly. Other qualities we’d like to see in a candidate include:

·         Flexibility

·         Organisation skills

·         Approachability

What you’ll get out of it...

While studying towards a professional apprenticeship, you can enjoy a starting salary from £13,103. There is potential for that to increase to £16,094 in year two, with final year salaries hitting £18,689. Each of our apprentices will get access to our reward and benefits scheme, offering access to discount saving cards, cycle to work schemes and more. Apprentices can also enjoy more employee benefits, such as:

·         25 days holiday

·         Generous pension scheme

·         Discounts and savings
