What will the apprentice be doing?

The successful applicant will provide support to Project Delivery staff across the business assisting with project activities. They'll be involved in the following:

• Developing and documenting components of projects as required by the Project Team.

• Planning, scheduling and risk management.

• Monitoring progress and reporting.

• Compiling data to support business cases, and customer presentations.

• Building and maintaining a network of internal business contacts and peers to share and gain knowledge and identify opportunities to learn and develop.

• Building awareness and understanding of how the Project Delivery function works including the roles of the different sub-functions and how the SDA functions work together to deliver projects.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

A two-year scheme, (24-months, plus end point assessment) to develop your knowledge and understanding of how our projects are delivered, gaining an insight into project management and project control tools and techniques including scheduling, risk management and cost analysis.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Initially 2-year fixed term appointment (leading to permanent role on successful completion of apprenticeship qualification)

GCSE or equivalent 5 subjects including English Language and Maths (Grade 9 -4) Essential

Things to consider

In addition 5 GCSEs at grade 9 to 4 (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths; plus, A or AS Levels (or equivalent) that equate to a minimum of 48 UCAS points.
