What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties include:
Support the Technical Accounting & Internal Controls Manager with technical accounting queries raised by the business, this includes research of company and accounting policies and drafting of technical accounting papers to support key judgements.
Assist the accounting review and documentation of programme estimates at complete.
Perform the key controls testing and ensure that controls are working effectively.
Support the Technical Accounting & Internal Controls Manager with controls related certifications across the organisation.
Analyse and prepare the estimate at completion ("EAC") diagnostic quarterly and identify common drivers.
Act as the Raytheon UK contact for timesheet management; liaising with the US timesheet processing team to correct any issues in a timely manner.
Significant project-based work where required.

Accounting And Taxation Professional Apprenticeship Level 7. If you're looking to develop your accountancy skills to lead finance departments or provide management accounting consultancy, CIMA is your ticket. CIMA is split into Certificate, a standalone 'beginner' qualification, and Professional, which is split into three levels: Operational, Management, and Strategic. The Certificate in Business Accounting is your starting point if you're new to accountancy. You'll learn the fundamentals of business economics, financial accounting, management accounting, and ethical considerations of commercial activity. Operational teaches you about organisational management, costs and analysis used in production, and financial reporting and taxation.
