What will the apprentice be doing?
This vacancy is aimed at someone looking to get into finance/accountancy/tax, with a keen interest in 'tax' specifically. We're offering a Level 4 professional qualification & apprenticeship program with Pure Tax and Kaplan.
The successful candidate will benefit from hands on experience within a close working tax team, working on many different assignments, and you will follow a structured training program through Kaplan to gain invaluable recognised training.
Program expected duration: 18 - 24 months. No previous tax knowledge is required.
You will not just be one of many in our team, because we are a lean, boutique tax practice. You will be integral to the team as are all the member, each person strengthening it. You will secure valuable
insights into the world of tax investigations and disputes and general tax planning too. This is a very interesting area of accountancy and taxation, which helps develop your business acumen early.

Professional Accounting Taxation Technician Apprenticeship Level 4 - ATT qualification.
The ATT syllabus follows a modular structure, which consists of two core certificate papers and four optional certificate papers, allowing you to specialise in your own area of interest or expertise.
To apply for full ATT membership, you must pass the two core papers, one of the four optional papers and the three computer-based exams (Law, Professional Responsibilities & Ethics and Accounting), plus have two years of practical work experience in UK taxation.

Training will be provided by attending either face-to-face classroom based lessons, Live Online sessions or OnDemand. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of your time towards it.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full support in progressing to the
Level 7 (CTA), Chartered Tax Adviser qualification.
Remaining integral to the core tax team
and helping successive trainees/apprentices being recruited, trained and
experienced. Opportunities to broaden breadth of tax knowledge by experiencing differing
tax assignments, i.e. tax re-structuring and tax planning.

- Assisting the team in all tax administrative and compliance based tasks.
- Supporting the team on written advisory and consultancy projects.
- Managing documents and evidence relating to client assignments.
- Organising meetings with clients and colleagues/partner firms.
- Assisting in the preparation of schedules/analyses from source records for use in enquiries, written advice and tax returns as appropriate.
