Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the renowned corporate team at Kuits. We advise on all aspects of corporate transactions for our clients, including raising money privately and publicly, acquiring and disposing of businesses, and all manner of corporate structures for your business. We are also on hand for day–to-day corporate governance and compliance advice.

  • Assisting on M&A transactions, including compiling or reviewing replies to due diligence enquiries, drafting disclosure letters and preparing ancillary documents (board minutes etc)
  • Assisting on non-transactional work, including drafting ancillary documents, share exchange agreements, buy-back agreements, shareholders agreements and articles
  • Opening files and drafting engagement letters
  • Drafting emails/letters to clients for review by fee earners
  • Carrying out company searches and other completion searches
  • Carrying out filings at Companies House and HMRC
  • Researching points of law as requested by fee earners
  • Carrying out company formations
  • Contributing to the department’s precedent team
  • Attending internal departmental training sessions

Training Provided

As a Solicitor apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Solicitor Level 7 Apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you to be awarded with the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

Your Level 7 apprenticeship shall be delivered by a blend of online and face-to-face from BPP [alongside our award-winning internal training]. Coupled with the on-the-job learning, completion of the apprenticeship will lead to obtaining your solicitor qualification.


Initial 3 month FTC. Apprenticeship: 30 months

Skills & Personal Qualities

  • Good standard of IT Literacy as expected in an office environment – in particular MS Office
  • Previous experience of working in a law firm highly desirable
  • Fluent written and verbal language skills
  • excellent telephone manner
  • the ability to plan and manage own workload
  • attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work well with others and not be shy around clients!

Qualifications Required

  • A minimum of 2:1 in a Law degree (or equivalent)
  • GDL

Future Prospects

Following successful conclusion of FT role as paralegal there is the opportunity to enrol onto the graduate solicitor apprentice programme which will provide the opportunity to study for SQE 1 and SQE2 whilst working as a paralegal within the corporate department. The ultimate aim will be for the individual to qualify into the corporate team and, subject to staffing needs at the time, post-qualification to begin permanent employment as a corporate solicitor at Kuits.
