What will the apprentice be doing?
Audit's role is to assess the controls business areas have established to
manage risks to help ensure their objectives are achieved. This is done by
establishing a Plan of individual audits to ensure all key business activities
are assessed over a period of time. The audits defined in the Plan are then
undertaken and reports issued to senior management which give an opinion on the
adequacy of the controls Internal Audit have assessed. As an apprentice you will have the
opportunity to work on a variety of IT related tasks within Internal Audit. The
Plan will cover audits over a number of areas including information security,
cyber, cloud, system development and implementation, and business continuity.
