What will the apprentice be doing?

As the Apprentice Operations Manager, you'll work alongside the Director on a daily basis to focus on & learn about achieving the following:
  • Day-to-day operations - driving efficiency in the daily operations.
  • Reporting - designing & implementing our reporting processes (stock, sales & finances).
  • Shipping - working with producers and the company's logistics provider to organise & monitor shipments, including timelines, labelling compliance, pricing & warehouse receipt.
  • Systems - tendering & implementing Propeller's new CRM and stock management/finance suites.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

During your apprenticeship, you will be studying towards your L5 Operations Manager Apprenticeship, delivered by Professional Apprenticeships, who were voted the region's best training provider last year and have achieved the highest Ofsted rating.

During this level 5 apprenticeship, you will learn the business operations & strategy, quality management & assurance, project & people management, and much more.

The successful candidate can look forward to a highly-rewarding, long-term career, working for a state-of-the-art wine importer & distributor.

You'll come in and learn the business model & processes, and upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to take over as the full-time Operations Manager.
