As part of the role, you will be responsible for performing Quality Control checks for Service and Repair Bicycles and fully understand the different standards of ;Due to underrepresentation within our team we are especially keen to receive applications from women.The key duties include delivering services, repairs, and QC quickly and safely, with the skill to on average complete minimum output targets. This is a role that is vital to the success of the Cycle Hire Scheme and we are looking for candidates that take great pride in their work and are committed to being the best ambassadors for the Cycle Hire Service. Our Bicycle Mechanics directly help make London a greener place to live and visit and are responsible for making sure our bikes are safe for the community, so it is important that you take that responsibility seriously. This role directly impacts the number of roadworthy bicycles that are available for service users across London. You will be collaborating with Operations Managers and Chief Mechanics, about issues, part trends, and general bicycle feedback such as any possible trends in damage and wear of the fleet.As you gain more experience, your role will become more interesting and varied with more independence to take on tasks through the industry recognised Cytech qualifications. More about youYou do not need to know anything about mechanics or bicycles, as we will teach you, you just need to be passionate about bicycles and love learning. We are looking for a devoted team players who are dependable, take responsibility for their own workload ensuring tasks are prioritised effectively.
