LSA role in a specialist provision for Autistic students, with a range of ability, autism and adjacent mental health challenges - Each student is trying to find their place in the world. This an ideal role for an aspiring Clinical/Education psychologists.

July 1st 2022 onwards and September 2022 - LSA role working with highly cognitive, autistic students who will often have adjacent, mental health challenges. Psychology, Criminology, English, Humanities Graduates who know their objectives and where your sincerity comes from, should excel in this role.

This LSA role is working with high functioning Autistic students who are very capable academically; your role will be to raise their academic and emotional attainment, delivering key and personal skills. The class you will be in is incredibly challenging, will you learn techniques when working with verbally and physically challenging students.

All candidates will have a Child and Adult Enhanced DBS processed by Academics - Knowledge of Milton Keynes as an area is an advantage and will make the role more pertinent, potentially. This experience will give you experience in seeing, then identifying the risks and needs of victims of abuse, both physical and emotional, for example.

This LSA role is also suitable if you are a graduate who is as an aspiring Youth Justice Officer or looking to be in the field of Outreach Work, personal or voluntary experience with people, who have a low tolerance for distress, would be relevant experience.

This is the kind of experience you need to build up before deciding on a MSc or if you have recently completed one, you need to be able to qualify and disqualify all areas for yourself.

If you think of some of the key elements of being an Anti-Human Trafficking Outreach worker, you will be aiding and working with vulnerable young learner. You will see many elements of crossovers, working with vulnerable children and young people who often will have a poor distress tolerance.

Working in small, focused classes of 3-6, all LSAs are 1:2 with their students
Working with very vulnerable children, will each have a different context, EHCPs for their mental health and potential Special Educational Needs
Education and Training provided including safeguarding and de-escalation techniques
GBP78 per day, 5 days a week, full time.
Graduate role, 'C/5' Grade in English and Maths - focus on GSCE Maths and English, creative and vocational subjects Working with likeminded graduates with similar desired outcomes, having aspirations within clinical and education psychology
