Job Description:
The role will involve working in various posts across the finance team to get a broad experience of the finance function at BRE. The list below is a summary of the areas that may be included in the work of the role. This list is indicative of the roles available, but it may vary during the course of the apprenticeship:
- Processing cash and reconciling to the bank accounts.
- Processing sales invoices.
- Supporting the collection of cash including collecting addition information such as customer purchase order numbers.
- Processing sales invoices.
- Processing purchase invoices and reconciling supplier statements to check the amounts due to suppliers are correct.
- Processing of business expenses and liaising with members of staff to validate the claims and gather additional information as required.
- Checking the expenses are aligned with policy and HMRC requirements.
- Undertaking ad hoc analysis of costs and revenue
- Support of the external audit process
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Any other duties as requested.
As the confidence and capability of the apprentice improve with their studies and practical experiences, other tasks may be added to this role for further development.
Our aim is to offer a permanent role and career progression following successful completion of the 3 year apprenticeship programme.
Training Provided:
As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT Level 3 qualification.
The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.
Qualification Requirements:
- 5 GCSE's Grades 4 to 9 including English and at least a 7 in Maths
- 3 A Levels or equivalent qualifications.

- Good level of understanding of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
