Brief Overview:

Are you looking to start your career by doing an Apprenticeship? If so, this could be the perfect start for you. You would be joining this High Performance Metals Company as part of the Quality team, primarily attached to the Certification Team, to ensure that customer service is maintained at a world class standard. This position is ideal for an ambitious person who as a critical eye and a can do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quality Assistant Apprentice you will be concerned mostly with administrative aspects of the Quality Team, assisting with critical over checks of material certifications and contract reviews as well as some administrative activities, training for all activities will be given.

Key Responsibilities Include:-

Assist with Quality administration functions, specially those around incoming and outgoing certification, independent of department.

Control and manage the Calibration Register

Control and manage the Approved Vendor List

Carry out measurement and inspection of material if required

Assist with contract review and certification checks activities and deal with any quality issues generated to a satisfactory conclusion

Liaise with our sales team and engineers to ensure customer requirements are being met whilst carrying out overchecks

Carry out administrative duties as required within the quality department

Have a flexible work attitude to help cover within the Quality and Technical department

Desired Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 'A' Levels or equivalent, including Maths, English and Science (preferably chemistry or physics).

Working Pattern:

Monday-Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch). Friday 8.30am-1.30pm.

Total hours: 35 per week

This is a really varied role for the right enthusiastic person to really show what they can do, with opportunities to grow.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, a full time permanent postion may be offered. This will be at the discretion of the company
